Biography

Darren leads Learning Media’s business relationship with the Ministry of Education. He is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through effective relationship management and delivery of quality products and services.

Darren joined Learning Media in March 2011, from the Ministry of Education where he held the Manager: Professional Leadership position. He has previously been a primary school teacher, principal, and rural advisor to schools.

Darren believes Learning Media plays a critical role in helping the Ministry to achieve its national education goals and aspirations, through the provision of resources and professional development to support teachers and principals.

Darren’s desire is to make a difference for New Zealand students of all ages, to help them achieve their potential and have as many life choices as possible available to them. As such, he is committed to supporting leaders across the school sector to improve the richness of our young people’s learning experiences through the work of Learning Media.
